Reflective WorX  products use a technology known as retro reflection. It helps the eye perceive light in low-light conditions. In more scientific terms, retro reflection occurs when light rays are returned in the direction from which they originated. A large amount of reflected light is returned directly to the original light source, such as a car’s headlights. Since very little light is scattered when the light is returned, retro reflective materials appear brightest to an observer located near the original light source such as the driver of the car.

Apparel Solutions International’s Reflective WorX FR5020YS reflective tape is a 50mm / 2” wide, sew on reflective tape available in  yellow-silver-yellow that is flame resistant and has day time and night time high visibility properties . The Reflective WorX trim also has improved washing and sustained visibility properties when compared with conventional yellow-silver-yellow striping. The Reflective WorX trim is industrially launderable to 90°C; 50% higher than most competition. This product contains a glass bead type reflective film that demonstrates outstanding brilliance and performance.

The unique glass bead bed reflects the light well in very wide entrance angels up to 40° allowing it to to remain highly reflective even when viewed across wide-entrance angles and far exceeding the minimum  EN-471 & CSA Z-96 standards for high visibility and the FR high visibility standards.

FR5020YS reflective trim also meets the CAN/CGSB-155.20-2000 Workwear for Protection Against Hydrocarbon Flash Fire standard.
