Safety Considerations And Limitations Of Use
Our garments are designed and constructed in accordance with NFPA 2112-2023 edition, Standard on Flame-Resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial Personnel Against Flash Fire. Do not use protective garments alone for the protection of flash fire. Other protective equipment including helmets, gloves, footwear is required for protection.
All garment components have been certified to NFPA 2112, 2023 edition requiring approved testing methods and equipment and most procedures cannot be duplicated outside of a certified laboratory. There is no practical field test capable of confirming these results.
Proper use consistent with NFPA 2113 Standard on Selection, Care, Use, and Maintenance of Flame Resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial Personnel Against Flash Fire, 2020 Edition, requires that garments cover the upper and lower body and flammable under layers as completely as possible.
Garments should be frequently inspected for wear to major seams and any seam fatigues should be immediately repaired using compatible threads
Repairs made to garments must be made using recognized components. garments should be thoroughly cleaned after each service and garments that have exceeded their safe service life should be destroyed.
